How to play

  1. Join a Singles or Doubles Carrom table.
  2. Break to open the board.
  3. On your turn, aim the striker and hit your coins toward pockets.
  4. Follow queen cover rules for the room — pocketing the queen usually needs a cover coin.
  5. Avoid fouls such as pocketing the striker or the wrong colour.
  6. Finish your set to win the board.

Example

You need one black coin and have a clean line. A soft strike pockets it and leaves the striker centred. If you smash too hard, the striker may follow into the pocket for a foul and return the coin.

Rules & scoring

Fouls (striker in pocket, wrong coin) usually return coins or skip turns — check the sheet.

Queen cover timing differs by room; do not rush if it opens the board for the rival.

Doubles rooms pair teammates; communicate turns if the UI allows chat.

Board friction and aim assists follow the Win Rummy table you join.

Key terms

Striker
The piece you flick to hit coins.
Queen
Special piece that usually needs a cover after pocketing.
Foul
Illegal shot result — often returns coins or skips a turn.
Cover
Pocketing a valid coin after the queen as the room requires.

Variants in the app

These table names appear in Win Rummy lobbies and can change with updates. Always read the room sheet before you sit.

  • SinglesOne vs one. Full board control is on you.
  • DoublesTwo vs two. Turns alternate across partners per room rules.

How it compares

Unlike Ludo, outcomes turn on aim and angles, not dice races. Unlike card games on this site, there is no hand ranking sheet.

Tips & common mistakes

Do

  • Think one shot ahead; leave yourself an angle.
  • Practice soft strikes before max power.
  • Confirm queen cover rules once per new room.

Don’t

  • Do not rush queen cover if it gifts a free board.
  • Do not ignore foul lines when the striker sits near a pocket.
  • Do not treat Carrom as pure luck — aim matters.

FAQ

Is Carrom luck-only?

No. Aim and board sense matter more than a single dice roll.

Singles or Doubles — which first?

Start with Singles to learn angles. Doubles adds a partner, shared coins, and tighter timing — try it after you are comfortable alone.

What is covering the queen?

After pocketing the queen you usually must pocket another of your coins to “cover” it. Exact timing is on the table sheet.
